NJCA UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVES TO DEFER THE INDEFINITE STRIKE

After the meeting with the Home Minister today by the NJCA and further developments leading to issue of a Press Release by the Government of India assuring consideration of the issues raised by the Staff Side relating to the pay scales and other recommendations of the Pay Commission by a High Level Committee. The NJCA has decided to defer the Indefinite Strike in the background of meetings with the Ministers and the assurance by the Government of India.

Government assures Representatives of Unions representing employees of the Central Government that the issues raised by them relating to the pay scales and other recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission would be considered by a High Level Committee.

Representatives of Unions representing employees of the Central Government had met the Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, the Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley and the Minister for Railways Sh. Suresh Prabhu in the evening of 30th June, 2016. 

They had requested that certain issues raised by them in relation to the pay scales and other recommendations of the Pay Commission be allowed to be raised before a Committee of Secretaries looking into different aspects of grievances of employees in relation to the Pay Commission recommendations

The Ministers assured the Union leaders that the issues raised by them would be considered by a High Level Committee. 

CABINET APPROVED 7 TH CPC RECOMMENDATIONS WITHOUT IMPROVEMENT

THE CABINET APPROVED THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE 7TH PAY COMMISSION ON WEDNESDAY

THE RECOMMENDATIONS WILL RESULT IN A HIKE IN SALARIES OF OVER ONE CRORE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES AND PENSIONERS.

THE PAY PANEL HAD IN NOVEMBER LAST YEAR RECOMMENDED 14.27 PER CENT HIKE IN BASIC PAY AT JUNIOR LEVELS. THE ENTRY LEVEL PAY HAS BEEN RECOMMENDED TO BE RAISED TO RS 18,000 PER MONTH FROM CURRENT RS 7,000 WHILE THE MAXIMUM PAY, DRAWN BY THE CABINET SECRETARY, HAS BEEN FIXED AT RS 2.5 LAKH PER MONTH FROM CURRENT RS 90,000.

REPORTS SAYS THAT MINIMUM PAY IS RS.18000/ AND MAXIMUM PAY RS.IS 2,50,000

THE PAY COMMISSION RECOMMENDED MINIMUM PAY RS.18,000 WITH INCREASE OF 14.29%. THE SAME IS APPROVED WITHOUT ANY CHANGE.

 DETAIL OF THE PAY COMMISSION WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER IN A PRESS CONFERENCE.

7th Pay Commission: Cabinet likely to approve salary hike by June-end

New Delhi: Come July and the central government employees might see a hefty rise in their salary owing to implementation of the recommendations made by 7th Pay Commission.

 As per news report Finance Ministry is all set to seek cabinet nod for implementation of the pay commission's recommendation by June-end.

Furthermore, the secretaries group is ready with its review on 7th Pay Commission. But it will submit its report once the elections get over.

Reports say that the secretaries group has recommended between Rs 2,70,000 and Rs 21,000 hike for the higher and the lower level. This is twenty thousand more in the upper limit prescribed by the 7th CPC and three thousand more in the lower level set by the commission.
